About this role
PGL is the UK's leading provider of residential activity holidays and educational courses for children.
Our Catering Manager roles are key to ensuring the catering provision for guests and staff meets and exceeds their expectations.
For this key role, we look for dedicated catering professionals who have previously worked in a high volume catering environment.
As a Catering Manager, you'll ensure optimum service, product quality, client and staff safety and profitability through proactive management of the centre's catering operation. In practise this includes:
Managing stock levels to ensure optimum profitability to business
Maintaining appropriate staffing within budgetary guidelines
Responsibility for all day to day financial paperwork associated with the smooth running of the department
Ensuring all financial transactions are carried out accurately and within prescribed timetables
Responsibility for monitoring and control of all own department areas
A significant aspect of this role involves the training and development of our catering staff.
