Your Role: An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Retail and Restaurant Manager to join the team at Hillingdon Hospital. As the Retail & Restaurant Manager you and the team (circa 40) will be responsible for delivering high quality standards across all dining areas, ideally the successful applicant will have contract/retail catering experience, be commercially aware and have the ability to lead, motivate and grow the team. In this role the Retail & Restaurant Manager will have accountability for increasing the overall efficiency, profitability and productivity of the restaurant and kitchen departments, to deliver improvements within the defined areas through leading and enabling teams to achieve improvements within their areas of responsibility. Key Accountabilities: - Deliver the H&S and Food Hygiene standards required by Sodexo and the client.
- Management of all staff ensuring that standards of discipline, procedures & policies are maintained
- Take complete control and accountability for the day to day food and beverage operations of the department, ensuring the members of the R&R team are meeting set criteria
- Ensuring all employees consistently achieve product & hospitality service standards
- Management of labour hours at standard vs budget hours
- To manage the financial performance of the service and to maintain costs within pre-budgeted targets
- Able to identify and develop new opportunities within the Restaurant and Retail unit to deliver targeted growth
- Manage senior third party relationships - NHS Trust
Key Skills & Experience - IOSH Managing Safely and Level 3 Supervising Food Safety are not optional (Client contract specific
- Proven experience of successfully managing client relationships
- Proven track record of leading, managing and developing a team (minimum 5+)
- Must have proven retail or catering background
- Experience of budget management
- Must be able to demonstrate: Excellent communication skills, be persuasive and decisive
- Literate in IT
- Personal Licence preferable
- Food & Hygiene Certificate Level
